About Us
HattKatts is a small cattery
located in north Florida, established by Pete Meisinger and Donna Lawry, and
dedicated to breeding Norwegian Forest Cats worthy of their unique heritage.
We follow the standards and guidelines established by the registries to
which we belong as well as the associations dedicated to the preservation of
this magnificent breed. To this end, we are Breeder Members of the Norwegian
Forest Cat Fancier's Association, Skogkatt International and the Norsk
Skogkatt Society.
Our cats and kittens are Vetted regularly and are guaranteed
healthy and disease free. Our furry kids are fed a blend of premium foods so
their transition from our home to yours will be less stressful as they are
already accustomed to eating most of the premium foods such as Royal Canin,
Iams, Eukanuba, Nutro, etc. They receive the kitten blend until they are one
year old to insure they receive all the nutrients and supplements a growing
Wegie requires before going on the adult blend of the same foods.
The Wegie is a slow developing breed, not reaching full maturity
until about three years old; consequently, we will not place any kittens
prior to 16 weeks of age to make sure it is completely weaned, socialized
and had all it's first year shots (Click

for our vaccination protocol). We place kittens as pets altered prior to
placing; breeding cats are rarely placed. Our kittens are not placed as show
but may be shown without restrictions. If you plan to show please let us
know so we may assist you in selecting a kitten for that purpose. We also
ship nationally and internationally. Prices vary with the lines being bred,
with kitten prices starting at $800, plus shipping expenses; please contact

request and are sent with the kittens being placed along with their health
